It is designed for heavy-duty metal cleaning. It excels at removing thick rust, oxide scales, multi-layer oil paint, and heavy grease from carbon steel, stainless steel, and cast iron

Note: We do not recommend using 2000W CW lasers on wood, plastic, or highly sensitive precision molds (for molds, please check our Pulsed Laser Series).

The 2000W model offers significantly higher energy density, allowing for faster scanning speeds. On average, it is 30% to 50% faster than a 1500W unit. For typical surface rust, cleaning speeds can reach up to 40-50m²/h, making it ideal for large-scale projects like shipyards and bridge maintenance.

For heavy steel structures (e.g., ships, pipes, beams), the cleaning is safe when operated at the correct speed. The CW laser works by rapid heating; while it is less “cold” than a pulsed laser, our smart control system prevents overheating by ensuring the beam never dwells on one spot too long.

The machine is virtually consumable-free. The only part that may need occasional replacement is the Protective Lens on the cleaning gun, which protects the internal optics from dust and sparks. These are inexpensive and easy to change. No chemicals, sand, or dry ice are needed.

Due to the high power output, the machine typically requires a single-phase 220V (high amperage) or 3-phase 380V power supply (depending on your region’s voltage standard). The total power consumption is approximately 8-10kW, including the water chiller.

It is very user-friendly. The system comes with a preset “Process Library” for different materials (e.g., Rust Mode, Paint Mode). We provide comprehensive video tutorials and user manuals. Most operators can learn to use it proficiently within 30 minutes.
