Is the sample testing truly free? What about shipping?
For shipping: You only cover the inbound shipping to our facility. If you choose our "Digital Report Only" option, we will recycle the materials after testing, so your return shipping cost is $0. If you want the welded parts returned for physical inspection, you just cover the return freight.
Do I need shielding gas or filler wire for laser welding?
Filler Wire: It depends on the gap between your materials. For tight-fitting joints (gap < 0.2mm), laser welding can be done autogenously (without wire). For wider gaps, our machines come standard with an Automatic Wire Feeder that perfectly syncs with the laser.
