Can your laser machine ensure air-tight sealing for pressure pipes?
Yes. Our system uses a high-power CW (Continuous Wave) laser source with a wobble welding head. This ensures deep penetration and a wider fusion zone than traditional lasers. We guarantee that with proper parameter settings, the welds will pass standard hydrostatic pressure tests and X-ray inspections.
Do I need a professional welder to operate the machine?
No. This is the biggest advantage of our automated system. The rotary fixture and welding gun are controlled by a PLC system. An ordinary operator can learn to use it in 30 minutes. You simply input the pipe diameter, and the machine handles the rotation and welding speed automatically.
What if there is a gap between the pipe and the flange?
We have integrated an automatic Wire Feeding System (supports 0.8mm-1.6mm wire). It automatically fills gaps up to 1.5mm during the welding process, ensuring a strong connection even if the pipe cutting isn’t perfectly precise.
What pipe diameters and thicknesses can it weld?
Our standard rotary fixture covers diameters from DN15 to DN200 (approx. 20mm-220mm). Regarding thickness, a 1500W laser can penetrate up to 3mm stainless steel, while a 3000W laser handles up to 6-8mm. We recommend the power source based on your specific wall thickness.
Is the machine compatible with both stainless steel and carbon steel?
Absolutely. It works perfectly on Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel, Galvanized Pipe, and even Aluminum. For Galvanized pipes, the laser process is cleaner and faster than TIG, with less damage to the zinc coating surrounding the weld.
