Will the high-power 3000W laser damage the base metal?
No, if operated correctly. Our 3000W system comes with a preset Process Library. You can adjust the laser width and energy density to ensure the beam only vaporizes the rust or paint layer without affecting the substrate. For high-precision surfaces, we recommend starting with lower power settings during the testing phase.
What are the power requirements for this machine?
The 3000W CW laser cleaner is an industrial-grade machine. It requires a 3-Phase voltage input (380V / 400V / 480V, 50/60Hz) depending on your region. The total power consumption is approximately 12kW-15kW (including the water chiller). Please ensure your facility has adequate power capacity before purchasing.
What consumables does the machine need? How often do I change them?
Unlike sandblasting, there is no media to refill. The only consumables are Protective Lenses and Copper Nozzles.
Protective Lens: Typically replaced every 1-3 weeks depending on the working environment (heavy dust reduces lifespan).
Coolant Water: The chiller water (distilled water) needs to be changed once a month, which costs almost nothing.
Is the handheld gun heavy? Can it be automated?
The 3000W cleaning head is ergonomically designed but slightly heavier than low-power models due to the necessary water-cooling pipes. It weighs approx. 2.5kg – 3.0kg. For long-duration cleaning, the gun is equipped with mounting holes, making it easy to attach to a robot arm or a balancer for automated cleaning.
