Does this air-cooled model really not need any water or antifreeze?

That’s correct! It uses advanced phase-change heat pipes and variable-speed fan technology to cool the laser source. There is zero water, meaning you never have to worry about freezing pipes in winter or internal condensation in humid summers.

Do I need to use the wire feeder for aluminum?

While autogenous (fusion without wire) welding is possible on perfectly fitted joints, we strongly recommend using the included auto wire feeder for aluminum. Feeding ER4043 or ER5356 wire adds necessary filler material that prevents thermal cracking and ensures a structurally sound joint.
