Sheet Metal & Enclosure Laser Welding: Fabrication & Assembly
Precision welding for electrical cabinets, server racks, and thin metal parts. Create aesthetic, air-tight seams with minimal heat distortion and zero post-processing.
✅ Achieve smooth, continuous seams that require zero post-weld grinding or polishing. Ideally suited for parts that need immediate painting or coating.
✅ The minimal heat-affected zone ensures perfect flatness for thin sheets (0.5mm–3.0mm), eliminating the warping issues common with TIG welding.
✅ Perfect performance on stainless steel, aluminum, and even galvanized sheets used in enclosure manufacturing.
Traditional Welding vs. Advanced Laser Technology
Eliminate heat distortion and heavy polishing. See why top electrical cabinet and sheet metal fabricators are switching to laser welding.
Traditional Methods
❌High heat from TIG welding severely warps thin sheets (0.8-2.0mm), ruining the dimensional accuracy of enclosures
❌ Large, uneven weld beads on corners require time-consuming grinding and polishing to make the surface flush for painting, creating a production bottleneck.
❌ Manual arc welding is slow and demands highly skilled operators. Finding and retaining experienced welders for thin-plate work is difficult and expensive.
Your Laser Machine
✅ Concentrated heat input results in a minimal heat-affected zone (HAZ), keeping thin enclosure panels and doors perfectly flat and precise.
✅ Creates smooth, aesthetic weld seams that often need no secondary grinding. Parts are ready for powder coating or painting immediately after welding.
✅ Up to 4-10x faster. Easy to master, enabling beginners to produce professional results with minimal training

FAQ
Can your machine weld Galvanized Steel (GI) sheets?
Yes, absolutely. This is one of the biggest advantages of our laser welder. By using the “Wobble” welding mode, our machine effectively stirs the molten pool to release zinc vapor, significantly reducing spatter and porosity. We recommend it for galvanized sheets up to 2.0mm thick commonly used in electrical enclosures.
Do I need a professional welder to operate this machine?
No. Unlike TIG welding which requires years of experience, our handheld laser welder is designed for unskilled operators. Most users can learn to weld smooth, consistent seams with just 30 minutes of training. This helps you solve the labor shortage issue.
What if my sheet metal parts have gaps (poor fit-up)?
Our automatic wire feeder solves this. Every machine comes with an integrated wire feeder that supports 0.8mm–1.6mm welding wire. It can easily bridge gaps up to 1.5mm wide, ensuring strong joints even if the bending accuracy isn’t perfect.
What is the maximum thickness it can weld?
It depends on the laser power:
1500W: Up to 3.0mm Stainless/Carbon Steel, 2.0mm Aluminum.
2000W: Up to 4.0mm Stainless/Carbon Steel, 3.0mm Aluminum.
3000W: Up to 6.0mm Stainless/Carbon Steel, 4.0mm Aluminum. For most sheet metal and cabinet applications (0.8-2.0mm), the 1500W or 2000W model is the most cost-effective choice.
What are the consumables and operating costs?
The operating cost is very low. The main consumables are Protective Lenses and Copper Nozzles, which are inexpensive and easy to replace. There is no need for expensive tungsten electrodes or massive amounts of shielding gas compared to traditional methods.
